Columbus, OH - Dublin Methodist Hospital has been named a recipient of HealthGrades' "Outstanding Patient Experience Award" in 2009-2010 for ranking in the top 10 percent of hospitals nationally.
Dublin Methodist is the only central Ohio hospital and is one of only 10 hospitals in Ohio to receive this award. Dublin Methodist also ranks among the top five percent out of 3,775 participating hospitals.
"Creating outstanding patient experiences was a primary goal in the design, construction and culture-building efforts put toward the opening of Dublin Methodist," said Cheryl Herbert, President of Dublin Methodist. "This award is a powerful testament to the strong personal commitment to excellence, compassion and service that each and every member of our team demonstrates daily in caring for patients and their families."
HealthGrades, a national healthcare ratings organization, determines ratings from a survey administered annually to patients by the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) to measure patient perspectives and satisfaction with hospital care. The survey questions addressed 10 factors of hospital care including responsiveness of hospital staff, pain management and post-discharge care instructions.
