Mother's Milk Bank of Ohio shipping 500 ounces to U.S. Navy hospital ship in Haiti

What: The Mother's Milk Bank of Ohio (a service of Grant Medical Center) will be shipping 500 ounces of donated mother's milk to the USNS Comfort, a US Navy hospital ship stationed off the coast of Haiti.

Medical personnel onboard the Comfort had issued a request for donated mother's milk for premature infants and at-risk mothers. Tomorrow's shipment of donated milk will be the first to reach the Comfort.

Quick International Courier will pack the milk in dry ice at the Milk Bank and transport it to Port Columbus International Airport where it will be loaded onto a Southwest Airlines flight bound for Ft.
